My work is always changing in style and approach but a few aesthetic qualities stay consistent throughout which are balance and depth. I am always trying to achieve dimension through experimenting with the texture of paint as it drys and blends with other mediums. I want the brush strokes, scratches and paint build up to highlight the action and expression of painting. Painting is a very physical yet meditative experience for me and I am finding a lot of joy in communicating that through these four paintings I completed over a much needed holiday break.
